Things to Know About the 2019 Oscars

Awards this year is going to be given out in 24 classes. Back in August 2018, a brand new class called»Best Popular Film» was declared, but as then, the Academy has chosen to hold off. The notion was met with a bit of controversy, therefore it’s being subjected to further review.
That’s not the only change on this year’s Academy Awards. While comic Kevin Hart was originally selected to host the awards, he ended up stepping down after it appeared homophobic remarks have been made by him previously. As of the time of this writing, a host still hasn’t yet been shown for the 2019 Oscars.
Not yet announced are the official nominations. These will be shown on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2019.
That having been said, around the middle of December, shortlists to get a few categories were announced for classes such as»Best Foreign Language» Film and»Best Original Song», so this gives you an early preview into some of what people could anticipate.
